“Laughter in the Wind” is children’s book written in memory of my firstborn son.  “Little Joe” was born with a rare metabolic disease and only lived to be seven weeks old.  During his illness we spent several weeks in pediatric intensive care, witnessing the battles, triumphs, and losses of other families there.  After “Little Joe” passed I was inspired to write a children’s book to comfort terminally ill children. As I wrote, the book evolved into a lighthearted tale of a world beyond this existence; a magical story that speaks to all souls.
